The farm's garden

The farm's garden is not just a space for producing organic food, but also a vibrant nature workshop where visitors, young and old, can learn about sustainable cultivation techniques, the importance of seasonality in nutrition, and the processes that turn fresh ingredients into delicious dishes.

In our garden, a variety of vegetables and herbs are cultivated with passion and care. From tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers to eggplants, zucchinis, and peppers, each plant in our garden is a living testament to Crete's rich agricultural heritage. The variety is complemented by beans, aloe, and seasonal vegetables such as cabbage, lettuce, cauliflower, and broccoli, offering an authentic taste of the Cretan land.

Additionally, at our farm, you will encounter fruit-bearing trees such as walnut, lemon, fig, and mulberry trees, which enhance the rich biodiversity and provide their fruits for the preparation of our meals.

The animals of our farm

Sheep and Goats

They are an integral part of our farm, providing milk used in the production of traditional Cretan cheeses, yogurt, and other dairy products such as Myzithra cheese. Caring for and milking the animals are unique experiences for visitors to enjoy.

Chickens

What activities can I do on the farm?

At AREVITIS Farm, you can participate in organized activities such as feeding and milking animals, planting and harvesting vegetables, collecting eggs, as well as preparing and enjoying traditional Cretan meals. Additionally, depending on the season, other activities such as sheep shearing - the known "koura" are included.
